Oscar-winning director Guillermo del Toro is lending his support to a new animated feature titled Sira and the Secret of the Park. The film is being directed by Adrià García, known for Nocturna, and co-directed by Mexican filmmaker and actress Ángeles Cruz. The project brings together talent from Spain and Mexico and promises a beautiful and emotional story for both kids and adults.
Del Toro is not directing, but he is backing the project as a presenter and creative partner. His support helps bring more attention and credibility to the film. He said in a statement that the story “celebrates the resilience of children” and honors their “capacity to imagine and heal.”
The animation style is expected to be detailed and hand-drawn, adding a warm, artistic feel. The film is being produced by Tandem Films and La Mancha Producciones, with international sales by Film Constellation.
