Cannes, France — The American Pavilion has unveiled its comprehensive Week 2 programming for the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, offering a dynamic array of panels, showcases, and networking events that underscore its role as a central hub for American cinema and global storytelling.

Future of Filmmaking Series: May 15–18

In collaboration with IndieWire, the “Future of Filmmaking” series will feature daily panels spotlighting the evolving landscape of global cinema. Discussions will delve into topics such as international production, distribution strategies with a focus on MUBI, and the impact of artificial intelligence on filmmaking. A keynote conversation is also scheduled, with details to be announced.

Emerging Filmmaker Showcase: May 13–24

Celebrating its 28th year, the Emerging Filmmaker Showcase will present 25 selected short films across categories including Student Shorts, Emerging Filmmaker Shorts, and LGBTQ+ narratives. Screenings will be held at the Roger Ebert Conference Center, providing a platform for new voices in cinema.

In Conversation Series

The Pavilion’s “In Conversation” series will host intimate discussions with industry luminaries. Notably, actress and producer Demi Moore will share insights from her extensive career and discuss her latest project premiering at Cannes.
